Questions and Answers to GrandMaster Huang Xingxian
What is the true spirit of Tai Ji?
The good and famous Tai Ji masters teach the same things but the students will learn differently. This is because the students differ in their natural talents and physical conformation. The true acquisition of art does not consist only in the mastery of external forms but also in the mastery of principles and philosophy. The student will have to be a rational man who has learned, practiced and understood art successfully. He applies those principles and philosophy to everyday life. He does not derive any illegitimate benefits from it, nor is he selfish. He is dedicated with total commitment to Tai Ji. It shares the founder's spirit of striving for a physically and mentally healthy humanity. This is the true spirit of Tai Ji.
